1. How We Use AI

The Urban Design Toolkit uses artificial intelligence to enhance your design workflow. AI is used in the following features:

AI Rendering — Transforms 3D massing models into photorealistic architectural visualizations
Concept Generation — Creates design concept variations from text descriptions
Program Analysis — Extracts building program data from uploaded documents using OCR and AI
Site Analysis — Generates contextual urban analysis insights from satellite imagery
Narrative Generation — Creates design narrative text from project parameters

2. AI Providers

We integrate with the following AI service providers:

🤖 Google Gemini — Image generation, vision analysis, text generation
🤖 OpenAI GPT-4 — Text analysis, program extraction, vision analysis
🤖 Anthropic Claude — Text generation and analysis
🤖 Meshy / Tripo — 3D model generation from images

3. What Data Is Sent to AI

Rendering: Screenshots of your 3D viewport + text prompt
Program Analysis: Uploaded document images
Site Analysis: Satellite imagery screenshots + coordinates
Concept Generation: Text prompts describing desired designs

We never send: Your personal information, email, password, payment details, or data from other users.

4. AI Output Ownership

You retain full ownership of all AI-generated content created within your projects
AI outputs may not be unique — similar prompts may produce similar results for different users
We do not claim any intellectual property rights over AI-generated outputs

5. AI Limitations

AI-generated images are for conceptual visualization, not construction documents
AI analysis may contain inaccuracies — always verify with professional expertise
AI outputs should not replace professional architectural judgment

6. Credit Usage

Each AI operation consumes credits from your subscription allocation. Credit costs vary by operation type and AI provider. Unused credits do not roll over between billing periods.

7. Opting Out

AI features are optional. You can use the platform's design, mapping, and analysis tools without invoking any AI features. API keys for AI providers can be left unconfigured in Settings to fully disable AI operations.
